Discipleship Training

Greetings Brothers and Sisters In Jesus Christ. As you consider God’s calling and choosing you to become part of His family, consider these words of Jesus in Mark 1:16-18 (KJV):

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And Jesus said unto them, “Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

Jesus said these words to each of us who would desire to become His disciple in John 14:15-17 (KJV):

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

and in Matthew 18:1-5, Jesus tells us about how we are to be willing to be trained by by His Holy Spirit in how to become “Fishers of men”

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.”

And we are further encouraged by these words from Peter in 1 Peter 2:2-5 :

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.  To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”

To assist each of us in fulfilling His command, I have enclosed a series of audio teaching sessions, presented by Gary Anderson, a fellow God’s Way team member. To access these sessions <CLICK HERE> 0r click on the “Milk of the Word” tab which is displayed when you place your curser on the “Discipleship Training” tab above. What is then displayed will be a table of links to printed and audio files that will be helpful in your efforts to teach others about these six foundational building blocks to our Christian faith as described in Hebrews 6:1 & 2).  Included in these tables are the links to that series of audio recordings.

After listening to this first “Milk of the Word” series of recordings there is yet a further series of audio recordings called “The Meat of the Word“. In Hebrews 5:11-14 this “Meat” is referred to as “The Way of Righteousness“, which includes the grace of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s training to yield the fruit of the spirit as listed in Galatians 5.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Gal 5:22-25 KJV)

The goal of this presentation is to provide vision to the Christian man and woman to help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of the word such as to become mature believers in Jesus Christ, such that they may be abile to disciple others whom God may bring to them.

Also included in this training package is a link to the book “The Gospel of Jesus”, which is a combined and integrated complete presentation of the four books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as presented in sequence according to the book of Luke.  The sequence of audio presentations of this printed book is also included that you may read along as you listen to the audio beginning with “Gospel Session 16 Part 1a Introduction.mp3”.

All of these materials are available to assist you in your ministry of taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world.  If your church or outreach ministry is seeking someone who can help lead them to a fresh anointing of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, please contact us. During these times of shaking of the heavens and of the earth as Paul describes in Hebrews 12, we who are called and chosen of the Lord Jesus to go into the hearvest and reap that harvest, this word of encouragement is offered to us:

” See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:For our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:25-29 KJV).
